Festival Crew
Experience the festival
from the inside.
Be in at the beginning, part of the crew that makes the festival happen. Jump in as an individual, or get friends or family together and come as a group. Most shifts are only a couple hours, and festival crew volunteers get in free, plus food and other goodies for you. You can contribute to this community event and still spend the day enjoying the event with your friends and family.
PROMOTION STREET/ONLINE TEAM –

Give out festival info (cool color postcard format), network, blog and/or post festival information (any of these tasks). Are you attending another event where you can hand out cards? A great way to meet people (singles are you listening? ;-) ) Fyi festival producer Hannah Doress met her wife volunteering. Also great for networking.
CREW WRANGLER CREW – 1 POSITION AVAILABLE You are working with us to bring in volunteer crew members from your circle of friends, family, co-workers, classmates, etc and from the community at large if you choose.
SAFETY & SECURITY CREW– 2 POSITIONS AVAILABLE You are the eyes and ears of the festival. You’ll be at entrance, at the childrens’ area, or roaming throughout the festival site. You are a calm, positive, focused presence ready to step in as needed at this family-friendly festival.
PRE-EVENT VENDOR LIASON
POSITION FILLED – (no selling involved) Email communication with vendors. Work remotely from your computer.
ART SIGNS –
1 POSITION FILLED - 2 AVAILABLE You are ready to put your creative stamp on the festival for years to come. Volunteer individually or bring your creative team. Extra-credit for repurposing existing materials – foamcore, wood, paints, etc.

***Friday Sept 24th*** Bring your gloves and pitch in to set up the fencing around the perimeter of the festival.
GENERAL SET UP CREW -
TRAFFIC PATROL CREW - 2 POSITIONS AVAILABLE Help ease traffic through little Park Rd as vendors arrive for load in. 8:30am-11am. (Requires assertive yet friendly personality.)
ADVANCE ADMINISTRATIVE CREW –
2 POSITIONS AVAILABLE You’ll help out remotely with an administrative project or two including email, data entry, phone call, etc. Schedule and time commitments are flexible (on an as-needed basis) and training is provided.
AREA LEADER –
4 POSITIONS AVAILABLE Saturday - you are good with people, thinking on your feet, and creative problem solving to help coordinate volunteers, field questions from vendors, and direct attendees to activities. Some pre-festival communication required and a full day commitment on Saturday, September 25th to ensure continuity. Training available. Areas include: Stage, Indoor Classes, Outdoor Classes, Beverages, Childrens’ Area.
OUTDOOR CLASSES CREW - 1 POSITION AVAILABLE You are part of the crew that welcomes instructors, ensures smooth transitions from one class to the next, manages basic needs –seating, water, etc, and helps trouble shoot as needed. These classes include yoga, dance, tai chi, etc.

FESTIVAL PRODUCTION CREW –
2 POSITIONS AVAILABLE You are part of the core go-to crew working directly to assist event producer Hannah Doress on festival day. A great way to get in-the-moment event production experience. This is a fast-paced and important crew. You are diplomatic, energetic and can think on your feet. Some pre-event communication needed.
CREW HQ – VOLUNTEER CARE AND COORDINATION CREW –

HOST CREW –

You are the party person, committing to bringing your group of six or more to attend the festival.
STAGE & SOUND CREW -
1 POSITION AVAILABLE Stage Managers / Stage Assistants / Sound Crew – You are part of team that will: handle change over of bands and artists, managing basic stage plots as needed, checking the schedule of coming acts, making sure that necessary equipment for each group is available, locating and moving equipment to the stage and ensuring the stage runs to schedule. Experience in stage management or event management is great but not required.
SWAG WRANGLER CREW – 1 POSITION AVAILABLE Food, tickets, vacation house weekend, tours, etc. If you have connections/access to goodies that can be offered in a drawing or to all our rockin’ volunteer crew members please contact let us know. Also one or two crew coordinators to swag, drawing, and follow up with donors.
PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEOGRAPHY CREW – 2 PHOTOGRAPHY AVAILABLE. VIDEOGRAPHY NEEDED. You are roving the festival and capturing the activities on your digital camera. A suggested shot list will be provided. Post-production assistance is also very welcome. Please provide samples of your work.
JUMPEE HOUSE CREW – 6 POSITIONS AVAILABLE. Ticket sales and time keepers. You are friendly, comfortable with kids and responsible.
FOOD DEMONSTRATION CREW 1 POSITIONS AVAILABLE – You are part of the crew that welcomes demonstrators, assists them as needed with supplies and set up/clean up in the Women’s Club kitchen, helps ensure smooth transitions from one demo to the next, manages basic needs –seating, water, etc, and helps trouble shoot as needed.
DÉCOR – 1 POSITIONS AVAILABLE bring your vision and know-how to visually fest-up the lovely redwood setting. This is a fun team to do with your friends –grab your buddies and create together. This would be an early morning role, possibly starting at 6am Saturday.
